▒▒▒dreamRAM▒▒▒::newfangled verses is the Museum of Wild and Newfangled Art's fourteenth exhibition of art. The exhibition takes a deep dive into the spatial web, and presents artworks that were developed during a three month artist residency which was hosted by Loop Art Critique from September 8th through November 21st, 2025. Artists were selected via an open call for submissions, and those that completed the residency were offered the opportunity to mint spatial artworks to mowna's objkt Gallery.
The critique was led by mowna co-founder joey zaza, who works as an artist, curator, and collector specializing in artificial intelligence, spatial web technologies, and generative systems. zaza co-founded mowna in 2020 with cari ann shim sham*, an online platform that supports artists through exhibition and NFT sales, and preserves art in an educational online archive, featuring 524 artists from 68 countries.
The focus of the residency was to create new artwork to expand one's artistic practice into three and multidimensional spaces, focusing on creating work for the spatial web metaverse. The critique was an opportunity for artists to explore richer interactive environments, dimensionality, gestural interaction, connectivity, and offered immersive experiences beyond traditional 2D web formats.
The program assisted artists in developing their digital and interactive art practices through a supportive system of private feedback and small group critiques. The sessions were led by guest artist joey zaza, and Ariel Baron-Robbins, cha, and Carolina Kleine Samson of Loop. They fostered collaborative learning and open information sharing within a constructive salon-style setting. Artists discussed their processes, shared insights, and enhanced their skills in feedback sessions that celebrated co-learning and collaboration, while maintaining a positive and respectful environment.
The criteria for applying was a commitment to creating art using interactive or immersive methods suited for the spatial web/metaverse. A willingness to learn Three.js, Stable Diffusion, DreamGaussian, ChatGPT, Blender, Hydra, and workflows for AI, generative, or 3D content can improve one's artwork, although coding was not a requirement and beginners to spatial web were welcomed to apply.
The critique concluded with an exhibition of artworks developed during the residency in the Loop Art Critique spatial web, with an opening party and meet the artists taking place on December 5th, 2025 at 12 PM ET. Many of the artists from the critique built their own verses, metaverse spaces where people are invited to explore, meetup with others around the world, and interact via audio conversations, screensharing, or uploading their own dimensional assets.
The artists made wild and wonderful spaces, sure to inspire and provide glimpses into the future of digital environments. Elements of these verses are minted to the blockchain to allow the artists to preserve their artworks into the future, and offer them the opportunity to be compensated for their work.
No object is stable. Artists work with shifting ground. Everything breaks. Verses exist beneath what is seen. Artists leave behind 2D logic. This is the post-flat plane of creation. Artists work inside the ruins. What do you build when everything is failing? Newfangled as soft revolution. Spatial forms that melt, regenerate, and mutate as they're experienced. Layers. Raw states. Editable architecture. Artists design systems that look back—procedures with self-awareness. Every verse builds the next. Every output is a mirror, a map, a misread instruction, fed back into the Loop. Compression ghosts, visual noise, feedback tails, this is the residue of systems. Artists sculpt with it. Each artistic choice fractures into infinite dimensions. Artists exist in multiple spaces at once. Reality exists in collapsed folders, fractured .glbs, ghosted UIs. This world is executable.
